Dave "Phoenix" Farrell

David Michael Farrell, better known as Phoenix (Plymouth, February 8, 1977) is an American multi-instrumentalist, known for being the bassist of the band Linkin Park.

 

Biography

Transferred at five years in Mission Viejo (California), is a graduate of the University of California at Los Angeles.

In the early 90's was part of the punk band Tasty Snax with Mark Fiore (current curator of the videography of Linkin Park), and he used to practice playing along with Brad Delson, just before finishing high school. In November 2000, he returned in Linkin Park (he had already done in 1997-1998 when their name was still Xero, in fact did not participate in the recording of Hybrid Theory, but has contributed to the drafting of the texts of A Place for My Head and Forgotten).
Married to Linsey since 2002, Phoenix currently lives in Los Angeles, where he established the band. Their first daughter was born in March 2007.
