So the inaugural edition of Rock in Rio has been in the books now for a few weeks. Your sights are probably already set on EDC and Life Is Beautiful. The afterglow from Rio is probably gone, and the hangover has likewise long since faded. All that’s left from this year’s Stateside debut are some random text messages, perhaps a few ill-conceived Instagram posts, and a collection of miscellaneous memories — or maybe some misspelled memories, as the case may be.
Oh, man, this is just great. Take a look at the picture above, shared by reddit user padawan402, and presumably purchased by him or some other unluckly dude, from an, ahem, unlicensed vendor outside the grounds, we’re guessing. (Insert cliches here: Buyer beware? You get what you pay for?)
Look closer. Notice anything? Uh-huh. There it is. D’oh! Let’s just say, that if Chester Bennington and company are indeed one step closer to the edge, this is exactly the sort of thing that could make them break.
OK, not that we’re discounting the possibility that this is photoshopped. I mean, anything’s possible, right? If not, though, this may just be the derpiest moment in music this year so far.
Not sure what T-shirts were going for at this year’s fest — we suspect they may have been rather pricey, given that pizza was reportedly setting folks back sixty some odd bucks — whatever the price, it was undoubtedly worth every cent, if for no other reason than the fact that that memorabilia most likely isn’t misspelled.
